First Time Inquiries

When I come for your piano tuning appointment, the piano will first be inspected. Depending on the quality, age, how long it has been since it was last tuned, the environmental conditions where the piano is kept, and the level of perfection required, your cost could be a flat fee of around $80 to $100. Your tuning appointment will last from 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours. If there are any issues with the piano or it needs minor repairs, that can be done at that time, you will be informed of any additional cost.

In addition, detailing, internal vacuuming, polishing and Key-Brite treatment is an extra nice touch. This is an optional service.

If it is a piano that has not been serviced for some time, there is a chance that the piano is not at the proper tension or correct pitch. This will be determined as part of the initial inspection. At that time, I will let you know and see if you would want to restore the piano to the correct pitch of A-440. The pitch adjustment must be done first, and then it can be fine-tuned. The cost of pitch adjustment before the tuning would be $30. Hopefully the piano will be at the correct pitch, but if not, you will be informed about the process and added cost.

If your piano is equipped with the Piano Life Saver System, it too should be inspected and serviced. By providing a consistent humidity level within the piano, the piano will stay on pitch between regular tunings. I am certified in the installation and servicing of the Piano Life Saver Systems.
